The Lake/Sumter Society for Human Resource Management (LSSHRM) is an organization of Human Resource (HR) professionals from Lake and Sumter Counties. LSSHRM is a chartered affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest human resource management association and the leading voice of the human resource profession with more than 250,000 professional and student members throughout the world.

Through meeting, publications, and events, LSSHRM members are provided with the information required for making today's complex HR decisions, and networking opportunities to exchange ideas and discuss concerns with your professional peers. Members are assisted in expanding their professional competence, keeping informed of federal and state legislative actions, complying with governmental requirements, and maintaining personal standards of excellence in the HR field.

Types of Membership

Professional membership is open to individuals who have responsibility for the development, supervision, and administration of their organization's formal Human Resource programs in one or more of the recognized functional areas. Professional members have voting privileges, and may be elected to serve as officers or board members.

Associate Membership is available for professionals in fields other than Human Resources. Associate Members may attend LSSHRM meetings and events, but are ineligible for voting privileges and officer/board member elections.

Annual Membership Fees:  

$199.00  Corporate Membership (1 fee for all employees in your organization). Each attendee pays $20 per meeting, includes meals 

$224.00 Individual Non-corporate membership NOT a current SHRM National Member, includes meals

$199.00 Individual Non-corporate membership w/current SHRM National Membership, includes meals

$175.00 Current Lake Sumter SHRM Officer or Chairperson on LSSHRM Board of Directors

$100.00 Full Time Student Membership - Must be currently enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (includes meals)
